The expiration date of the approval of hydrochloric acid for use in biocidal products for PT (product type) 2, in accordance with Reg. (EU) No. 528/2012, referred to in Annex I of Directive 98/8/EC, has been postponed to October 31, 2026 by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2619.
This postponement will allow the evaluating competent authority to evaluate the application for renewal of the approval of hydrochloric acid for use in biocidal products of product type 2 and to submit the opinion from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) before it expires, which would have been due on April 30, 2024.
