The Scientific Committee for Health, Environment and Emerging Risks (SCHEER) has received a request to update the guidelines for the risk-benefit assessment of the presence of phthalates in certain medical devices to also include carcinogenic, mutagenic, toxic phthalates for reproduction (CMR) or having endocrine disrupting properties.
A call for evidence has therefore been launched to collect useful information for the scientific committee evaluation and update of the current guideline, which will end on July 17, 2023.
